It works. We placed it in a wet shady area in our backyard and when the time came to change the water and lure, I could see the mosquito eggs trapped in the filter. Our Version 1.0 unit worked flawlessly for one season. The following spring a faulty seal allowed water into the battery pack and shorted out the controller. Green Strike sent us a brand new Version 2.0 unit free of charge as a replacement, which used a different seal design so the same failure could not happen again. I liked the fact that the unit does not use expensive propane like other mosquito traps, the replacement lure and filter packs are much cheaper than keeping a mosquito catcher supplied with propane and electricity. It is set-and-forget until the unit alerts you to change the water and filter. A great product.
